Development of Microplastic Research in ASEAN

Microplastic research is currently an exciting trend along with global environmental problems. The purpose of this study to review the development microplastic in ASEAN. researc uses a systematic method by searching for keyword “microplastic” and name ASEAN country on Google Scholar website, Science Direct, other paper provider websites. Papers reviewed 2018 August 2021 period were then classified based components analyzed. results showed that location category, majority was carried out Vietnam (12/50 articles). category object focused marine organisms more than terrestrial organisms, concentration varied because sampling not standardized, form dominated fiber; commonly found coastal areas. socio-economic much related circular economy. To conclude, still has opportunities, especially from perspective.
